About Us

ISE

Since its foundation in 1960, the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE) has pursued the worldwide advancement of education, science and patient care in Endocrinology.
Today the society forms a strategic federation of National Endocrine Societies which aims to stimulate international cooperation and coordinate scientific exchange, debate, and dissemination between healthcare professionals around the world.
We are proud to say our current membership comprises over 70 national endocrinology societies, representing nearly 50,000 endocrinologists worldwide. The flagship of the ISE remains its International Congress which is now held in rotation every two years in partnership with one of its National Societies across The Americas, Europe/Africa and Asia/Oceania. The ISE head offices are based in the UK at the University of Leeds within the School of Medicine.

SAFES

South Asian Federation for Endocrine Societies (SAFES) was conceived by the daunting fact that challenge of diabetes and endocrine disorders looms large in our society. Despite this eminent danger, there are millions of diabetic patients in rural South Asia who are denied the benefits of Diabetic care. Member of SAFES countries had brain storming sessions for finding ways to work together and discover ways to help these individuals. These fruitful exercises resulted in formation of SAFES. This task force decided to work relentlessly to achieve milestone infield of endocrinology particularly in South Asia region by providing optimum care and relief for our patients. SAFES were born on 17th January 2013, first Joint meeting and foundation of this federation was laid in host country Sri Lanka, in the picture-perfect city of Colombo. Since then biennial academic sessions of the SAFES have been held at the following cities across South Asia: Hyderabad, India in 2013, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2015, Lahore, Pakistan in 2017, the SLENDO 2019 at Colombo Sri Lanka and Kathmandu, Nepal in 2021.

ACP India Chapter

The American College of Physicians (ACP) is a diverse community of internal medicine specialists and subspecialists united by a commitment to excellence. Internists apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness. With 152,000 members in countries across the globe, ACP is the largest medical-specialty society in the world. Over 14,000 members reside outside of the U.S.
ACP came to India in 2012 and the Indian Chapter was established in January 2015. Today it is one of the fastest growing international Chapters. As on date Jan 2018 we have 749 members – 2 Masters; 190 Fellows; 305 full members; 15 Resident/Fellows-in-training; 16 Physician Affiliate members and 220 Medical Student members. Since membership is free for medical students studying in medical colleges approved by the World Directory of Medical Schools.
